Port O’Brien

Saturday being Saturday, it’s guaranteed to be a great night for Noise Pop picks. Only the lucky badgeholders will now get in to see one of the three sold out shows, headlined by The Gutter Twins, British Sea Power and The Mountain Goats. But there is plenty of good music left for the rest of us.

Café Du Nord will host our very own Port O’Brien, co-headlining with Delta Spirit and joined by What Made Milwuakee Famous (Austin) and The Mayfire. 9pm, $10-12, all ages.

KALX presents a great night of music at the Rickshaw Stop, headlined by Panther (Portland), joined by three fantastic local bands – Immigrant, Wallpaper and The Distraction Fit. 9pm, $10-12, all ages.

As the second show curated by the fabulous Blasthaus, MSTRKRFT (Toronto) will grace the stage at Mighty with LA Riots (LA), Lazaro Casanova (Miami) and our very own Sleazemore. If you’re into electro, get some dancing done at Noise Pop in a place where other people may actually be dancing (gasp!), and make this one a late night. 9pm, $15-20.

At the Mezzanine, Man/Miracle represents the bay and joins headliners The Virgins (NY) with Airborne Toxic Event (LA) and The Blakes (Seattle). 9pm, $12-15.
