A little over a month ago, we announced our involvement in The Bay Area Takeover, a partnership with Tricycle Records and Three Ring Records to bring the great Bay Area indie rock scene to South by Southwest this March in Austin, Texas.

We recently launched the event’s web site, which you can find here. At the site, you can RSVP to make sure you get in, check out a ton of free music, get info about set times and more. As a reminder, the show is Thursday, March 13th, from 12-6pm at The Beauty Bar, located at 617 E 7th Street in Austin.

In addition to the music, there will be giveaways, free beer, coffee and tamales (while supplies last)!

Since our last update, we’ve finalized the lineup, adding the amazing Two Gallants and 60 Watt Kid to the bill. That makes the final lineup:

Two Gallants
Film School
Scissors for Lefty
Von Iva
60 Watt Kid
The Blacks
Social Studies
Birds and Batteries
The Union Trade
Music For Animals
Form and Fate
D.W. Holiday
Aim Low Kid
DJ Omar (Popscene)
MCs Andre Perry and Craig Eley of Coke Machine Glow

Elise from SomaFM will also be broadcasting her acclaimed radio show, Indie Pop Rocks, from the party as well!

For those of you who won’t be able to make it into Austin this year, will be broadcasting the event live over the web! You will be able to watch on our website as well as theirs!

Also, be sure to check us out on MySpace. We’re continuing to line up sponsors, so if you’re are a business interested in the event, drop us a line here. It should be a great party!
