It’s pretty great to see everyone from Tiny Mixtapes to Punk Planet (review not online) jumping on board The Finches‘ indie folk-pop train. We interviewed the San Francisco duo back in January as they were gearing up for the release of their excellent debut full length Human Like A House, a sweet mix of minimalist folk instrumentation and warm pop vocal melodies.

We’re pleased to report that the band is playing tomorrow night at the Great American Music Hall, supporting New York’s Ollabelle. It’s their first SF show in a little while, after spending August with a residency in Los Angeles and being named “Best Songbirds Bittersweet and Bright” by the Guardian.

You can find more Finches over at their MySpace page and web site. We also recommend you head over to the Lemon Session blog to get some live mp3s from their most recent Hemlock show.

Thursday’s show starts at 8pm and is $15. If you aren’t in the Bay Area, get ready, because The Finches are doing a national tour in the fall.
