TheBayBridged.com is proud to present a great night of local indie rock music, featuring four of the Bay Area’s finest bands, all of whom are featured on The Bay Bridged, Volume 1, a compilation celebrating eleven of the best groups in San Francisco indie music.
The album will be available for the first time at the release party, although copies can already be pre-ordered at TheBayBridged.com’s online store.
About the bands:
Headliners and dear friends The Dont’s are known for their frenetic live show, which conveys the band’s unique art-pop vision with a balance of musical skill and buoyant exuberance. “Fusing 90s alt-rock with Talking Heads quirkiness, The Dont’s create a truly eclectic sound.” (CMJ) “The Dont’s have refined the art of teetering at the splintered edge of disaster, embracing just the right amount of abandon…” (Flavorpill) “Bottom line: fun and freaky SF indie rock.” (The Owl Mag)

Love is Chemicals is another one of our long-time favorites and their contribution to the compilation suggests their next album is going to be another one to keep on repeat. “Love is Chemicals have the quietly seismic, under-ground-darling routine down to a T.” (Flavorpill) “

The Old-Fashioned Way won a number of new fans with their performance at our MCMAF Closing Party so we’re psyched to see and hear their addictive indie-pop again. “Danceable indie with a sense of humor straight outta the Tenderloin.” (San Francisco Bay Guardian) “The Old-Fashioned Way perform songs praising the merits of Earl Grey tea and Tecate, and somehow come out sounding like the Magnetic Fields with a more impressive back-up band.” (Noisepop.com)

The Lonelyhearts open the show with their excellent mix of indie pop and rock music and we’re excited to hear some new songs alongside some from their excellent release Dispatch. “[Dispatch] should be thoroughly enjoyed with the album’s gifted lyrics in one hand and a deep, 90+ proof bottle in the other. The only time this album should be allowed to gather dust is when I die…” (sctas.com)
