Indie pop afficionados in the Sacramento area have a regular destination on Sundays, heading to the Press Club for shows presented by the folks at Record Club. Since March, “Record Club Presents” shows have been held every first and third Sunday of the month, but a look at their calendar shows that they’re busier than that, with a number of excellent upcoming shows featuring Bay Bridged alumni The Music Lovers, Love is Chemicals, The Old-Fashioned Way and others, alongside like-minded Sacramento-based and touring bands.
This Wednesday, Record Club comes to San Francisco, with a show at 12 Galaxies featuring Bay Bridged mix show veterans Foma and The Val Papadins, as well as This Charming Band and headliner Agent Ribbons, who we’ve heard are one of the most promising groups in Sacramento. The show starts at 9pm, is $8 and 21+.
