Here’s another episode of the New & Used Records video podcast from contributor Will Benham. Will also runs the New & Used Records label, which releases The Passionistas‘ God’s Boat this week. Their record release party on Friday is headlined by today’s subject, Kelley Stoltz.

Last summer, I interviewed Kelley Stoltz for my New and Used Records Video Podcast series. At the time, the San Francisco favorite had just released his third album, Below the Branches (Sub Pop), to critical acclaim and was preparing to go on tour with The Raconteurs. Following the video’s release, I received an email from The Passionistas who’d just finished recording an album with Stoltz.

This Friday, we celebrate the release of the God’s Boat at Cafe du Nord, with Stoltz headlining. The Dilettantes and the Specs will open. For now, you can watch that Stoltz video I produced last year, which discusses his recording process and his day job at a record store, with performances of “Wave Goodbye,” “Memory Collector” and “Birdies Singing.”
