As we approach the final weekend of Mission Creek, be sure to keep checking our Mission Creek page. There’s a bunch of stuff we’re not posting on the main page, including all of the photos and videos from the concerts our team members have been seeing.
Thursday night features a variety of strong offerings:

One of our favorites, Petracovich, headlines the Make-Out Room with her signature blend of folk and electronic elements. Check out what she’s been up to since our interview in an update we posted last week. Joining her on the bill are San Francisco chamber-poppers Snowblink and the jangly, twee-influenced The Spires.

If you’re interested in modern progressive and psychedelic rock music, there are two shows worthy of your attention. Over at Cafe du Nord, local psychedelic rock titans Comets on Fire are joined by Sic Alps and Eric Bauer. Alternatively, the Hemlock hosts Seattle’s Wah Wah Exit Wound and locals Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound and Mute Socialite.

If it’s folk-rock you’re after, consider heading over to Amnesia. The show is headlined by Brooklyn’s Currituck County, but we’re most intrigued by Emily Jane White and Ora Cogan. San Franciscan White mixes rock elements into her “dark folk,” with vocals somewhat reminiscent of Cat Power. Cogan, from Vancouver, weaves blues and jazz influences into her sparse songs. Indianna Hale also performs.
