There are a couple of excellent shows early this week:
Tuesday night the 13th, our dear old friends Sholi headline over at The Rickshaw Stop with The Dead Science and The Drift. Show up early to catch San Francisco-based The Drift‘s moody instrumentals, which incorporate layers of horns and guitars to great effect.
This show is part of Sholi and The Dead Science’s March Tour which as already taken both of them up to the Northwest and will see Sholi down in Austin for part of SXSW.
The show starts at 8pm and is $7.

On Wednesday the 14th, one of our favorite local music resources, The Deli SF, will be hosting their first Deli SF New Music Showcase at Cafe du Nord. The show is headlined by The Parish from Oakland, whose energetic folk-rock mix we thoroughly enjoyed seeing a few months back and whose debut CD The Way We Bend is currently in rotation at The Bay Bridged HQ.
Supporting The Parish are locals Wymond & his Spirit Children, Silver Needles and All My Pretty Ones. You can catch mp3s from all of the bands over at The Deli’s site here.
The show starts at 9:30pm, is $8, and is 21+.
