Your Fearless Leader release “Lime”

On January 10, San Francisco’s Your Fearless Leader (YFL) released new single “Lime.” The tune is infused with horns, strings and a kind of gypsy jazz and rock with a baroque pop undertone. We hear some Arcade Fire moments with poppier beats and a tone that says we’ve had enough. There are some in-your-face calls to action and cries of upset. The band says of the new single, “‘Lime’ is a reflection of modern Western society that highlights topics relating to oppression, capitalism, and the existential search for meaning.” YFL is excited to release their latest, and we present it [...]

You’re here for the best concert in history,” said a resplendent Eve R. Meyer, Executive Director at San Francisco Suicide Prevention. Meyer has been with San Francisco Suicide Prevention for nearly three decades. I [...]

Get To Know: Your Fearless Leader

Are you sick of indie rock? Yeah, me too. But every now and then a band breaks out of that insipid, uninspired ocean of sameness and releases a song that pulls me back into the genre. Your Fearless Leader is one of those bands. Featuring arresting violin lines, propulsive drums, and anthemic sonic arrangements, the four-piece reminds you that this genre can still capture your attention in an overly-cluttered digitized century. The band recently released their debut EP, Retrospection, four songs aching with bittersweet melodies and impressive musical chops. Closing track "Father's Son" stands out as the arena-rocker highlight, with [...]
