Oakland's Oceanography, the recording project of East Bay Express Art Director Brian Kelly, is headlining a gig at The Night Light in Oakland this Friday, April 26, with support from Couches, Mosshead, and The There There. Self-dubbed "loud Americana" outfit Oceanography is set to release its second record, an EP called Parachutes of Plenty, on December 12th, and they're celebrating the occasion with a show at the Hemlock Tavern the following night. The Oakland-based band is fronted by Brian Kelly (above), a native of Livermore and graduate of Chico State that returned to the East Bay in 2009 following a stint in Brooklyn.
