Walking in Sunlight debut out now, release party Saturday

Three beautiful voices, a banjo, and timeless folk songs -- Walking in Sunlight released their first full length on their Bandcamp site this week, via Ghost Mansion Records (Two Sheds, Dame Satan, Low Red Land). In the beginning, Nathan, Greg and Eva convened to share the pleasure of singing Carter Family songs together, but their three-part harmonies brought them to explore a wider realm of old-time songs and on to composing some originals. Last of the Blacksmiths, Telegraph Canyon, Marabelle Phoenix @ the Hotel Utah Saloon – 6/2

On a rainy Tuesday night, I headed out to the Hotel Utah to catch Telegraph Canyon and Last of the Blacksmiths. It was a night out with friends to watch friends play music, and while the camaraderie was indeed great, it was matched by the quality of the music. The Hotel Utah is a great little venue, too, one that I do not visit often enough. Creative Minds Hosts Great Local Line-up Tonight

The folks at Creative Minds SF have put together an amazing lineup for tonight at 111 Minna. Magic Bullets, Last of the Blacksmiths and Beatheart vs. Warmen Fussi will perform, along with DJ Spinnerty and DF Tram. Of course, the show is also a group art show, with pieces from more than 20 local artists and the Canvas of Hope Project.
