Kid Mud’s debut full length, RR show @ El Rio 6/17

Local artist Kid Mud, whom you might remember as the solo electronic/indie artist with two EPs out on New and Used Records, will release his first full-length, Now They Shut us Down on June 16. The following day he will celebrate and introduce the album to an audience at El Rio (8:30pm, $5), performing as part of Vive le Rock, an annual evening of local music and film. Kid Mud: Reworkings and Remixes

Kid Mud - "This Way is Safe" New and Used Records artist Kid Mud is releasing a free new EP one track at a time this week over at the N&UR blog. A sequel to Mud's 2008 debut EP, Birds Have Moved In: Reworkings and Remixes collects one new song and four remixes, including a couple from the Kid himself. Kid Mud CD Release Tomorrow

Kid Mud, one of the newest editions to San Francisco's New and Used Records, will celebrate his CD release party at the Hotel Utah tomorrow (Tuesday). The album, a lush blend of electronic and live instruments, was released digitally back in early October. Kid Mud is also known as Sean Duncan, whose music is reminiscent of Built to Spill and Postal Service. His new EP, Birds Will Move in, is his first, though he continues to write songs prolifically.
