Wednesday at the Roxie: West Coast premiere of Jay Reatard documentary ‘Better Than Something’

The late rock and roll supernova Jay Reatard is subject of the new documentary Better Than Something, which features an interview with the musician completed only months before his tragic passing and examines his "complicated punk-rock world in Memphis, Tennessee." Called "riveting, sad, and inspiring" by the AV Club, the doc's West Coast premiere is at The Roxie this Wednesday, August 17th (7:30pm, 9:30pm showings), presented by Pop/Rox (Noise Pop and The Roxie).

Thee Oh Sees/Jay Reatard tour blows through The Independent Saturday

Jay Reatard's on tour right now, showcasing songs from his upcoming full length Watch Me Fail, a self-produced album coming out August 18th on Matador Records. He'll be at The Independent this Saturday, June 13th.
