Tartufi – “Fleet Week”

Tartufi recently teamed with the Bank of Karma guys to make a video for "Fleet Week", one of the epic, intense tracks on the band's Southern debut Nest of Waves and Wire. Involved in the video: two guys in suits, a suitcase, stuffed animals and fire. The album's release date is currently up in the air, but trust me, it is a monster. Check out all of the dates on Tartufi's upcoming US tour after the jump. 4/22/09 Park City, UT - Downstairs Park City 4/23/09 Fort Collins, CO - Details TBA 4/24/09 Omaha NE- O’Leavers w/ Fromanhole and Wall [...]

Video Podcast Episode 9: Emily Jane White – “Bessie Smith”

Here is the first of two video podcast episodes featuring Emily Jane White, from a performance recorded in Heron's Head Park in San Francisco earlier this year. Simply put, White is one of the best singer-songwriters we've heard. Her songs capture emotionally powerful moments in a sound that's moving and melodic. In this video, her band performs "Bessie Smith" from her debut album Dark Undercoat, which you are highly encouraged to purchase on iTunes. The video was shot and edited by the talented gentlemen of Bank of Karma; the audio was recorded and mixed by The Bay Bridged. Download this [...]

Video Podcast Episode 8: The Botticellis – “Up Against The Glass”

Here is the second of two video podcast episodes featuring San Francisco's The Botticellis, from a performance recorded in our former headquarters earlier this year. The band's full length debut Old Home Movies is a meticulously crafted affair, with well-placed layers of analog sound creating some amazing dynamic swells. As these episodes reveal, however, there's some great songwriting at the core of it all. In this episode, the band plays one of our favorite songs from their debut, "Up Against The Glass." The video was shot and edited by the talented gentlemen of Bank of Karma; the audio was recorded [...]

Video Podcast Episode 7: The Botticellis – “Stay With My Brother”

The Botticellis were supposed to follow Low Red Land on the roof of our apartment/studio at our first video shoot earlier this year, but our neighbors and local law enforcement had other ideas. Thankfully the band was cool with playing a super stripped-down set inside the apartment, and while we lost the views, we still got a great performance of the group's melodic, introspective surf-pop. This episode features The Botticellis performing "Stay With My Brother" from their debut album Old Home Movies, which you should purchase on iTunes or from Antenna Farm Records. The video was shot and edited by [...]

Video Podcast Episode 6: Birdmonster – “The Only One”

This episode is our second of two video podcasts featuring Birdmonster performing new tracks off of their latest full length, From the Mountain to the Sea, performed at Heron's Head Park in San Francisco. In this video the guys perform "The Only One" -- one of the ballads off of their new album which highlights some of the diverse instrumentation used throughout their album. Accompanying this video are several photos by Howie Cockrill documenting the shoot. The video was shot and edited by the talented gentlemen of Bank of Karma; the audio was recorded and mixed by The Bay Bridged. [...]

Video Podcast Episode 5: Birdmonster – “Born To Be Your Man”

We are pleased to announce our latest episode in The Bay Bridged Video Podcast series. This episode features Birdmonster, from an exclusive performance we filmed a few months ago at Heron's Head Park in Hunter's Point. "Born To Be Your Man" is the first single off of From The Mountain To The Sea, and this stripped-down take is a great introduction to the band's evolving sound and a terrific performance in its own right. The video was shot and edited by the talented gentlemen of Bank of Karma; the audio was recorded and mixed by The Bay Bridged. [...]
