RY X (photo: Jon Bauer) Australian singer-songwriter RY X performed a two-night stint at Grace Cathedral in support of his latest album Unfurl. The singer doesn't come to the United States often, making it a special night at the beautiful venue. Opener Charlie Cunningham set the night's tone for a very special, intimate evening, and our photographer Jon Bauer was there to capture the first night of the engagement.

Photos: Peter Murphy at the Chapel

Peter Murphy (photo: Jon Bauer) Ending out a residency at San Francisco's The Chapel, Bauhaus frontman Peter Murphy performed a night full of David Bowie songs to a packed audience with the help of opener Vinsantos. The show was on the shorter side, lasting less than an hour, but it encompassed all the Bowie hits you'd expect on any "Greatest Hits" collection. It leaned into his earlier work, but he did include some slightly later tracks like "The Jean Genie."

Thom Yorke (photo: Jon Bauer) When not working as the frontman of Radiohead, a band you've probably heard of that was recently announced as a 2019 induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Thom Yorke is still performing live solo tracks from his side projects outside of his day job. Yorke performed at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium last Saturday night with opener Oliver Coates performing on the cello. The San Francisco Leonard Cohen Festival (photo: Jon Bauer) San Francisco’s Conspiracy of Beards is a 30-member male choir that hosted a special evening honoring the illustrious Leonard Cohen at the Swedish American Hall last weekend and it had a huge variety of Bay Area guests showing their love for the man. Some of the performers included Mark Kozelek, Paula Frazer, Marty O’Reilly, Graham Patzner, and many, many more. Photos: Metallica: Helping Hands Benefit Concert + Auction at the Masonic

Metallica (photo: Jon Bauer) Over the weekend, the Masonic hosted a benefit for All Within My Hands (AWMH), a nonprofit foundation focused on creating sustainable communities by tackling the issues of hunger and workforce education and encouraging volunteerism. The organization was formed by none other than classic metal band Metallica, where they performed a rare acoustic set for their beloved Bay Area with the help of fresh local faces like Cody Rhodes and Avi Vinocur.
