Magpie Salute
Former members of the Black Crowes have recently developed a habit of...leaving the nest. Of flying the coop. Of spreading their wings.

There are a lot of avian metaphors to use here, but what we're trying to say is this: It seems none of the Black Crowes can light in one place for long. After two decades as a band, calling it quits in 2015, a good many of them have gone on to start their own separate projects, though a Crowe they'll always be. You'll have a chance to catch one of them at the UC next Friday.

Formed by their guitarist Rich Robinson (all relation to Crowes singer Chris Robinson, who has gone on to make his musical mark up in Marin County — they're brothers), the Magie Salute is a new-ish project that's got its start in late 2016. Still with the same psych-adjacent swagger of the Crowes, the Magpie Salute are driving, invigorating, riff-heavy rock and roll that will get your feet stomping and head nodding.

Opening are San Francisco rock and roll institution the Stone Foxes, featuring a few new faces, but the same old Shannon Koehler on the mic. What we're saying is, this lineup is a match made in classic-rock revialist heaven. If you love bluesy howls over some serious guitar shredding, you're gonna want to be at The UC Theatre on the 11th. We've got tickets to help you achieve that goal.

To enter for a chance to win tickets to the Magpie Salute at The UC Theatre, email contest@thebaybridged.com with "The Magpie Salute" and the date of the show in the subject line and your full name in the body of the email. Winners will be selected at random no later than 24 hours before the listed show and notified via email.
