Watch Oakland R&B singer Jane Handcock cruise around the East Bay in a vintage convertible in her new video “My N***a.” The song is a refreshingly vulnerable and long form take on East Bay R&B, mixing the singer’s beautiful voice – no need for much auto-tune here – with a chill, no-frills '90s feel.

The singer’s been on a bit of roll lately. The video comes on the heels of her spacey and excellent song “647,” which she posted to her Soundcloud last month.

Her last full-length, 2017’s Truth Explains a Lot, was executive produced by Raphael Saadiq and featured long time collaborator Adrian Marcel, as well as a verse by Oakland rapper Mistah F.A.B.
