Oakland-based Unlikely Heroes just released the music video for "Sun," setting the tone for the band’s upcoming self-titled EP. According to lead vocalist Enon Gaines, the EP, which was originally set to be released on March, should arrive in late April or early May.

Unlikely Heroes mixes a punk sound with hip hop vocals while steering both towards a psychedelic style. The group compares themselves to a blend of Kid Cudi and Rage Against the Machine. The video for "Sun" was directed by Josh Fields of Hatch 86 Films and features ballerina Leilani Neal-Ramos. According to the band, as the sun rises, the sun sets, and the video aims to take the listeners down to a darker place, while offering just a glimmer of hope.
