Albert Hammond Jr. has released the official video for “Muted Beatings,” the first single from his forthcoming album Francis Trouble.

The video starred Portia Doubleday and was directed by Fraser RIGG. Fraser wanted the video to show how “love transcends time and space.”

Hammond Jr. says that the song made him realize “the cycle of who I was and what I was about to become, with the death of my old self and the birth of this new person, was what transcended time and space.”

Albert Hammond Jr.’s fourth studio album will be released March 9, 2018, and it was inspired by the stillborn death of his twin brother, Francis. Hammond says he felt that the type of music he was making was different than anything he made before, and he wondered if it was a result from the short time he shared with Francis.

Catch Hammond when he comes to San Francisco in March.
