Lettuce, the funk band from Brooklyn that legend of funk Bootsy Collins hailed as having "that 'Sounds Like A Party To Me' funk goin' on" announced a singular Bay Area performance at Oakland's Fox Theater on March 17 near the end of their 2017 Mt. Crushmore tour.

Named after Lettuce's most recent EP, Mt. Crushmore, the tour kicks off next week in the Midwest and moves through Colorado into the PNW before wrapping up in California near the end of March on Saint Patrick's Day. Following the wrap in Cali, Lettuce jets across the Pacific for three landmark shows as they return to Japan for three nights. A previous trip to Japan resulted in the band's only live album to-date.

One thing seems to never fail - Lettuce likes to be in the Bay around the holidays.

The Oakland date is the only upcoming scheduled Bay Area performance after giving the Bay a lot of love in 2016. Last year, the band made the trip from Boston to perform in Santa Cruz on Mardi Gras, appeared at an Outside Lands late-night after party and teamed up with GRiZ for a Funksgiving gala event in late November at the BGCA.

Lettuce will be touring with funk party favorites The Floozies and Russ Liquid as opening support to ensure the Fox is grooving the whole night through.
