Bud E. Luv and his 10-piece band serenaded a packed Chapel lounge-style and a seated house of Christmas enthusiasts on Friday night December 23, 2016.

Robert Vickers' alter ego, the Fabulous Bud E. Luv, who (dubiously) claims to have been the center of The Rat Pack, entertained with songs from Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Mel Torme, Van Morrison, The Spinners, Tom Jones, as well as all of the Christmas classics that you'd expect to hear from a band leader of his stature.

His set started with Christmas songs with his long-term partners Mark Baum on saxophone and guitar and Michael Hatfield on keyboards. His signature lounge sound was then rounded out with an additional seven musicians — brass, drums, and an entire brass section.

The songs were sprinkled with his fabulous tales of super stardom — starting with Frank Sinatra's discovery and subsequent headlining with Frank when Bud was only 5 years old. The audience loved every moment of "The Fabulous Bud E. Luv Show" and I have a feeling that his legacy will continue strong in the Bay Area.
