Dusty Stax Formal

Plenty of things about adulthood stink (most things?), but here's something that doesn't! Dressing up in formal attire and attending a dance party led by some of the Bay Area's best musicians.

Over the years, Dusty Stax has produced a series of popular spring and winter formals, and this Saturday he's back at The Verdi Club for a final blowout appropriately titled The Last Dance.

For music fans, the evening's tunes are powered by the the Gold Star Revue Band, an ensemble of talented local musicians who will be serving up '60s soul, R&B and pop hits all night long. A veritable murderer's row of talent, this year's Gold Star Revue Band includes: Carletta Sue Kay, Kelley Stoltz, Earth Girl Helen Brown, Noelle Cahill (Magic Trick), Aaron Joseph (Midtown Social), Anna Hillburg, Paula Frazer, Spencer Owen, Meryl Press, Bob Reed, Justin Frahm, and Jen Snyder.

So yes, cocktails, great music, and dancing. Maybe adulthood isn't so bad? Tickets to The Last Dance are available right now.
