In the spirit of giving back, 24 bands of Oakland's finest post-punk, experimental noise rock, and beyond are throwing a three-day benefit soiree at The Night Light, beginning tonight.

Three-day passes are available online for a minimum donation of $20, while door prices range between $8 and $12. 100% of proceeds from each day's admission funds will directly fund two socially charged topics in today's politicized landscape: the Standing Rock Medic + Healer Council, madew up of the healers and watchers of the water protectors who are protesting the completion of the Dakota Access Pipeline. Proceeds will also be donated to and Planned Parenthood The total will be split between the two groups 50/50.

Friday kicks off at 9pm and features five bands for $8 in the upstairs room only. Beginning with Weed Alien, Sitters, and Murder Murder, the evening will conclude with CD-R and then Straight Crimes.

On Saturday, things kick off a little earlier with a 5:30pm door time. Definitely try to arrive early, as the night kicks off with a pair of exciting (although slightly overlapping) sets. Other bands on the Saturday bill include bAd bAd, Religious Girls, and Baus. Donations of $10-12 dollars are required for admission.

For the third and final day on Sunday, things start at 5:30pm again but will end by 10. Catch bands like InvertsNopes, and Brasil. Closing out the festival will be Jackal Fleece and Preening, each taking their set on the downstairs stage.
