Diarrhea Planet

Since forming six years ago in a Nashville garage, six piece punk rockers Diarrhea Planet have honed their sound, which is self-described "pop through a heavy metal filter," and plan on closing their 38-show tour with a heavy presence in California.

The week of November 14, singer-guitarists Jordan Smith, Emmett Miller, Brent Toler, guitarist Evan Bird, bassist Mike Boyle, and drummer Ian Bush, the newest member of the band, will make their way from Halloween celebrations in England to the left coast for shows in Santa Cruz and San Francisco before wrapping up in Sacramento and Crystal Bay, NV.

The sextet are touring on the wave of their third full-length record, Turn To Gold, which was announced via a BuzzFeed feature piece. The album represents a more cohesive and unified group. With Smith no longer the lone vocalist, the album plays through without losing the listener — the same person takes lead vocals two tracks in a row only once on the album.

Catch the all-out audible assault as they wrap up tour in November and restore your faith in rock and roll.
