Currently playing dates around North America, Ween has added two shows at the historic Bill Graham Civic Auditorium on October 14 and 15, 2016. These will be the band’s first shows in San Francisco since 2009.

Ween has been busy lately and for those who care plenty of news has come of it, particularly surrounding lead guitarist Dean Ween's (real name Mickey Melchiondo) antics. From bad-mouthing Phish fans on a now-deleted forum rant — "I hate their fans, they hate Ween, and I wanted to kill them with our music and un-fuck their minds from their normal listening habits” — to successfully recovering his stolen gear (stolen by an irate Phish fan, perhaps?) on his own, it's undeniable that since Deaner has put the fishing guide gig on hold and gotten the band back together, things are more interesting.

But Ween is not just for Ween fans, as Melchiondo claims to be one of the last few people actually doing rock and roll proper, keeping Peter Wolf of J. Geils Band in his limited company. For those looking to widen their musical palette, it will be an interesting event for sure. Following the lone Los Angeles gig at the Hollywood Palladium on Thursday, these two shows at BGCA will be the last opportunity to catch Ween out West for who knows how long. Their only remaining scheduled dates are a three-night event at the Capitol Theater in Port Chester, NY.

A two-day pass for their weekend in SF is available here, individual nights and information below.
