A little over a year has passed since Sweden’s Holograms have released their first self-titled LP. After embarking on a tremulous tour––which included their van being broken into and finding themselves stranded in Paris––the group has returned stronger than ever with an international tour under their belt, with another on the way in support of their sophomore album, Forever.
Released via Captured Tracks, Forever is a complex and intriguing album; the tracks are violent with energy and feature post-punk melodies. Far more produced and fleshed out than the self-titled LP, the album showcases how Holograms have matured in the past year.
Joining them on tour is Indiana's TV Ghost, a band that, opening for Holograms, will be like enjoying a classy meal with a fine wine. Meaning, it's difficult to say exactly which will leave you at the end of the night feeling dizzy with drunken musical stupor.
