Just Concerts

With the America’s Cup Finals just around the corner, the world’s greatest yachting spectacle is about to conclude its first ever residency in San Francisco, but that doesn’t mean the show is over – no, not by a longshot. In addition to the remaining races, there are still plenty of events to enjoy, including the remaining four Dockers: Sounds of San Francisco shows at the America’s Cup Pavilion on Piers 27/29. Following earlier shows by The Trims and Breakaway Patriot, the Cup and Dockers have lined up four more local acts – The Trophy Fire, Mister Loveless, Nexus Rock, and The Frail – to headline the final hometown gigs at the outdoor venue on the Bay, starting today at 3:30pm and wrapping up Saturday, September 12.

Mister Loveless, which headlines on Labor Day (Monday, September 2), recently released a video for the track “Curfew”, off their 2012 album Grow Up. The Perez Brothers-directed short features some beautiful black-and-white nighttime scenes around the city. The track also got the remix treatment from The Bilinda Butchers, along with another aesthetically pleasing video, this one shot on the Japanese bullet train between Osaka and Tokyo. Watch both the original and the remix video below, and download a free seven-track sampler featuring both tracks here. Details on the four Sounds of San Francisco shows are at the bottom of the post.
