LA synth-pop duo Soft Metals will be touring the West Coast next month in support of their sophomore LP release, and the tour includes a gig at Rickshaw Stop on July 24. The new album, titled Lenses, is out July 16 on Captured Tracks, and the duo recently shared the second single from the album. “In the Air” is easily one of their most danceable tracks to date, while lead single “Tell Me” is perhaps their finest. According to Pitchfork, “In the Air” features drum programming from Optimo’s JD Twitch. Stream both singles below.

Striking a balance between glam and gloom, Ian Hicks and vocalist Patricia Hall pick up the tempo on Lenses, their third release on Captured Tracks. With lyrics like “Is this love true? Or are we just lost in lust?”, Soft Metals’ live set might prove to be just as perfect for date night as it is for sulking in the shadows.

The Wednesday show in SF will also feature live sets from Black Marble and Rainbow Arabia, plus DJ sets from Omar Perez (Popscene) and Justin Anastasi of The Soft Moon.
