Different Fur Studios has teamed up with WillCall to throw a live show this Friday, November 16th at Brick and Mortar Music Hall with Cerebral Ballzy, Show You Suck, and Nanosaur, with Matrixxman DJ sets throughout the night. You can purchase tickets through the WillCall app, which is available for both Apple products and Android.
Brooklyn hardcore outfit Cerebral Ballzy will headline the chaotic night with their abrasive thrash riffs and stage antics. The punk quintet’s outrageous live set has been compared to the likes of Minor Threat and early-Black Flag. The band will perform tracks from their self-titled debut album, which was released on Adult Swim’s Williams Street Records label in July 2011.
Watch the video for Cerebral Ballzy-cut “Cutting Class” below, and then check out tracks from Show You Suck, Nanosaur, and Matrixxman, as well as full details on Friday’s show, after the jump.
Incorporating the raw energy of punk rock into his hip hop project, Chicago emcee Show You Suck will rap as the supporting act of the night. He has proven his comedic, relatable lyrics on the OneManPizzaParty mixtape series, which is streaming below via Bandcamp. Show You Suck also recently teamed up with Stefan Ponce to release the Girls, Girls, Girls EP, which you can download here.
Nanosaur, the moniker of Bay Area musician Michael Solorzano, will warm up the stage at Brick and Mortar with a set of post-chillwave, ethereal electronic music. His Summer’s Fallen EP is available for purchase on Bandcamp. Nanosaur recently put out a remix of Daniel Johnston’s “Devil Town”. Listen to the remix below via SoundCloud, as well as Nanosaur’s own single “All I Want”.
Matrixxman, the 5kin half of 5kinandBone5, will be DJing between sets with plenty of futuristic beats to keep the crowd moving throughout the night. Stream the dance floor-ready jam “Remedy” below, one of the producer’s latest beats. It all goes down this Friday night at Brick and Mortar Music Hall for $13.
