Surf Club – native sons of Stockton and proprietors of an unmistakable guitar-driven pop sound – are back with a new single entitled “Reverie”, the follow-up to their 2012 debut EP Young Love. Mixed by Patrick Brown and mastered by Jorge Hernandez at Different Fur Studios in San Francisco, “Reverie” (which made its live premiere at the band’s September show opening for Mac DeMarco at Rickshaw Stop) features the band wearing its shoegaze influences on its sleeve, with newly-minted lead guitarist Marcos Gonzalez’s maze of raucous and swirling riffs providing the perfect backdrop for frontman Frankie Soto’s intoxicatingly droning vocals.

Listen to “Reverie” below, premiering exclusively here on The Bay Bridged:

Surf Club has two upcoming shows – one in their San Joaquin County hometown later this month and another here in the City in December. Full details on the SF gig after the jump.
