Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti have announced a fall tour, shortly following the release of their new album Mature Themes. The band will be performing at Bimbo’s 365 Club in San Francisco on October 1st with Dâm-Funk and Bodyguard.

Mature Themes is the full-length follow up to Ariel Pink’s 2010 breakthrough album Before Today. The LP will be released in the US on August 21st via 4AD. The band has released the first single from the album, a brilliant cover of Joe and Donnie Emerson’s “Baby” featuring a vocal contribution from tourmate Dâm-Funk.

In addition to Dâm-Funk, Bodyguard will be opening for Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti. Bodyguard is one of LA experimentalist James Ferraro’s countless aliases, and often includes Sean Bowie of TEAMS.

Ariel Pink is infamous for being a somewhat volatile performance artist, with a public history of on-stage meltdowns in the past. However, his SF performances last year at The Make-Out Room seems to have gone relatively smoothly.

Either way, it should be an amazing show. For those who enjoy experimental pop music, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Dâm-Funk, and James Ferraro’s Bodyguard is a lineup not to be missed. Don’t expect tickets to last very long, even though the show is months away.
