The annual Budget Rock Showcase takes over the The Stork Club in Oakland this weekend for "the West Coast's longest running festival for trashy, out of tune (formerly known as 'garage') wacked out music otherwise ignored by the Indie Rock Establishment." With over thirty bands playing over four nights, there's a lot to check out, including some quality local bands like Sir Lord Von Raven (a newish psych rock band featuring former members of The Time Flys and The Gris Gris), The Mantles, Apache and Hank IV, and out-of-towners like Thee Makeout Party. Check out the full lineup and links to all of the bands here.
